Pamela Hanson (also known as Pam Hanson) is a British-born, New York-based photographer and filmmaker.

Biography

Pamela Hanson was born in London and was raised in Geneva.[1] She has lived in Europe for twenty years and now lives in New York City where she is working on a movie script.[2]

Commercial work

Pamela Hanson is well known for her fashion and lifestyle photography.[1] She works regularly for Vogue, Glamour, Worldwide, and Cargo.[2] Her photographs have appeared in Marie Claire, 'Vogue', Glamour, Vanity Fair, InStyle, GQ, Allure, D Magazine, Elle, Nylon, and Jane.[1]

Her advertising clients include: Tommy Hilfiger, Joseph, L'Oreal, Lancome, Lancaster, Maybelline, Halston, Giorgio, Keds, Max Mara, Emporio Armani, Charlotte Ronson, Ann Taylor, Avon Products, Biotherm, Redbook, Coach, Pantene, Victoria's Secret, Joseph and Les Copains,[1] Keds, Halston, Emporio Armani, among others.[2]

Her photographs have been sold to raise money for charities and many organizations within the United States.[1]

In June 2009, one of Pamela Hanson's ten nude photographs of Carla Bruni shot in 1994 was sold to an anonymous buyer for $19,600[3] at the spring auction at the Villa Grisebach Auktionen in Berlin.[4]

Books

In 2001, Pamela Hanson released Girls, a photography book in both color and black & white with pages of her personal and professional work.[5]

In spring 2006, Pamela released Boys, which contains images of boys at all ages, as a companion to Girls.[6]

Commercials and film

Pamela Hanson has also directed numerous television commercials for clients including: Mercedes-Benz, Charlotte Ronson, L'Oreal,Lubriderm, Andre Shoes, Stride Rite Shoes, Chantell, Nivea and Nouveau.[1] She is represented by Moo Studios based in Los Angeles [1]

In June 2003, she directed a series of television spots to raise funds for finding a Juvenile Diabetes cure.[1]

Exhibitions

Among other artists, Hanson's photographs were on display at the Aperture Gallery in Fall 2008, and they were sold at the Aperture Foundation’s Annual Benefit & Auction.[7]
